- This investigation is a follow-up on an article I published in May 2019. Unlike most of my other articles, I decided not to do my own photography and focus purely on the writing. The investigation took a few weeks because a FOIA request stalled, but the writeup went quickly once the necessary state records came.

- This 2100-word exposé was the culmination of a three-week investigation of the UCLA School of Dentistry.
- We verified the identity of each of the six anonymous sources cited or quoted in the article. Having reported on a retaliation lawsuit against the school weeks prior, sources verified to be at risk of punishment were granted anonymity.
- Cannabis Kingdom – A budding industry
- This article, part of the 2017 Daily Bruin travel grant project, was part of a three-day series exploring the effects of marijuana legalization in the state of California.
- Anonymous accuser publicly speaks out against Heaps following court hearing
- I was initially assigned to the Heaps case as a photographer for the first criminal hearing in June 2019 and, by the following month, became one of the main reporters on the case. I filed this story and the accompanying photo from the court parking lot with less than five hours to report and two hours to write.

- Although my primary area of focus has been city, crime and investigative reporting, I was one of the Bruin's core reporting team for the 2020 Democratic primaries. I tried to focus on providing context to policies that readers may not be aware of.
